Strictly star thanks 'heroes' at UHDB for hard work during COVID-19

Giovanni Pernice

Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has sent colleagues at our hospitals a message of thanks and support for their hard work and dedication throughout the pandemic.

29-year-old Giovanni, who has finished second on Strictly on three occasions, paid tribute to the "heroes" at our hospitals, with specific thanks going to Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Theatres and Ward 14 at Queen's Hospital Burton.

Giovanni said: "You have been working very hard. I wanted to say a special thank you to ICU, Theatres and Ward 14 in Burton, for your hard work with all of the patients during COVID-19.

"You are truly heroes so I just wanted to say thank you.

"And remember, keep dancing!"
