What is the role of a Public Governor?

As a Public Governor, you will have the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of UHDB, to visit areas of the Trust and meet staff and patients, to hear from the most senior leaders in the organisation, and to hold our Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Trust Board.

Our Governors also have an increasingly important role to play in our work in the two local health and care systems we are a part of in Derbyshire and Staffordshire – meaning you have the opportunity to influence the way the Trust considers the needs of more than one million people.
