About the hospital and its services
Ripley Community Hospital is a Derbyshire Community Health Services (DCHS) led healthcare facility on Sandham Lane, Ripley. It was opened as Ripley Cottage Hospital in 1912 and joined the NHS as Ripley Community Hospital in 1948.
The site offers a range of services for the local and wider community. This includes an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), which opens Monday to Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.

Some of the services provided are led or supported by UHDB. These include:
- access to blood tests (Phlebotomy services).
- access to X-ray facilities via appointment or the UTC.
- Gynaecology outpatients.
- Trauma and Orthopaedics outpatients.

- Medicine for the Elderly outpatients.
There is also a League of Friends Shop (cash only) open Monday to Friday, from 10am - 1pm.
