From Monday 16 September until late December 2024, we are making some improvements to our emergency department at Queen's Hospital Burton, which will mean at certain times there will be some restrictions on vehicles and pedestrians outside A&E.
If you need to park and access our A&E, the closest car park is car park 3.
If you are being dropped off or collected, including in a taxi, please use the drop off zone (pictured below) between A&E and the main entrance.
Pedestrians should avoid the coned off area, and wheelchair users should enter the hospital through the main entrance during contractor working hours, rather than outside A&E.
These changes are only in effect during contractor working hours and are not in place during out of hours and weekends. Please use the area as normal during out of hours and weekends.
Contractor hours are usually 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday but please note this might change some weeks to ensure timely and safe completion of this work.
