Today, Friday 8 November, it's World Radiography Day 2024 - a celebration of therapeutic and diagnostic radiographers, and a day that marks the anniversary of the discovery of X-rays in 1895 by the German Physicist William Roentgen (Wilhelm Rontgen).

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) colleagues are hosting this year's surgical congress meeting led by the Association of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons (ALSGBI) after leading the way nationally in robotic surgery for specialist abdominal wall hernia and complex pancreatic and biliary procedures.
