Donna Leary, Governor

I bring 23 years of NHS knowledge, experience and skills to my role as Governor having joined in a band 2 role and now working as Clinical Manager. As Governor, I will work closely with the Trust Board to improve services, whilst keeping change and development patient and colleague focused.

As an Allied Health Practitioner (AHP), I will draw upon my clinical knowledge and leadership journey to influence discussions and decision-making in my feedback to the Board. My experience gives me an insight into the staff and patient 'voice', while considering the targets and ambitions of the government that influence board decisions.

I understand what matters to our colleagues and possess a strong drive to improve patient care.

I am excited about working collaboratively to overcome significant challenges and make changes to shape our services to deliver more patient focused care.

By taking the time to understand and listen to colleague feedback we will continue to grow a culture of empowered and dedicated healthcare professionals who will continue to be proud of the NHS and UHDB.

I am relishing the opportunity to work with our most senior decision makers to continue to grow a safe and resilient Trust which will not only meet our patients ever growing needs but exceed them for many years to come.
