Maternity recruitment open day. Looking for your first or next role in midwifery? Join UHDB.
Are you or someone you know looking for your first or next role in midwifery?
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton are looking for midwives and maternity support workers to join a rewarding career at #TeamUHDB caring for pregnant women and their families. Whether you are newly qualified or experienced, we want to hear from you.
Why work for us
- We are committed to your ongoing career development, starting with our Preceptorship programme that supports you to be the best you can be.
- You will be joining our maternity services at an exciting time following a £6m investment into our services to strengthen our workforce and technologies including new sonography equipment and a dedicated maternity electronic patient record system.
- We value your role and support you to be your best self at work.
If you want to learn more about working at UHDB, join us at our upcoming recruitment open day. You can tour our birthing facilities and inpatient areas, speak to midwives (specialist midwives, midwives, maternity support workers and continuity of carer teams) and enquire or interview for our current vacancies.
Who can interview on the day?
- Student midwives qualifying in the next six months.
- Qualified midwives.
- We are sorry but we are not able to offer interviews on the day for maternity support worker roles but are more than welcome to attend to enquire and express your interest for upcoming vacancies.
If you are interested in the maternity support worker role but have no experience and/or not sure if you have the required qualifications you can attend the open day to enquire about the role, what qualifications and experience you need, and express an interest for when roles do become available.
Please note: tickets and expressions of interest have now been fully allocated for maternity support worker roles, however they are still open for midwives. If you are interested in a maternity support worker role, please keep an eye on our vacancies page here.
To express your interest for upcoming maternity support worker vacancies, you need:
- Essential: GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C, or Levels 4-9,
- or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent,
