Team UHDB Award: Audio Visual Team

Ross and Phil

The amazing Audio Visual (AV) Team have been presented with July’s Team UHDB Monthly Making a Difference Award for supporting colleagues to take their educational work onto a digital platform during the pandemic.

The AV Team, consisting of Ross Hancock and Phil Dawson, were presented with their award by Chief Nurse, Cathy Winfield, and commended for all of their hard work.

Their nomination read: “They have turned over a huge amount of work for the Trust without expansion of their equipment or team numbers.

“Personally, I am grateful that they have helped my team record lectures online and online interactive learning material for medical students to access, allowing ongoing medical education ‘as best as possible’ in light of the changes we’ve had to make.

“They are quietly unsung heroes.”

As well as supporting their nominee, the AV Team also support colleagues from across the Trust to create educational and informational videos for staff and patients, as well as helping to make events such as Trust Board Brief Live a reality.

Upon presenting them with their award, Cathy Winfield said: "Thank you for everything that you have done to support our teams and colleagues across the Trust.. You're often seen as behind the scenes but it is so important to celebrate the work that you do!"
