Career opportunities available now for student nurses qualifying up to March 2024
Are you a student adult or paediatric nurse set to qualify in March 2024?
Here at UHDB, we have a range of opportunities across our five hospital sites across Derbyshire and Staffordshire which you can apply for now to give you the chance of being able to take the first step in your nursing career immediately after finishing your studies.
Full and part-time roles are currently available in areas including medicine, surgery, cancer services and paediatrics and will give you the chance to develop your skills alongside experienced colleagues with the support of our comprehensive preceptorship programme, which aims to facilitate your transition from student nurse to qualifed practitioner.
Interviews for these vacancies are planned to take place throughout November 2023.
Carrie Boardman, Senior Clinical Educator at UHDB, said: "We believe that having studied hard for your qualification, you have demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment, and we look forward to benefiting from your knowledge, skills and most importantly your vision.
"Our preceptorship programme is well established and successful: we guide and support all Newly Qualified Nurse’s and ensure you have a structured period of transition to support you throughout your career."
As well as professional development opportunities, the Trust can also offer a variety of other staff benefits including our employee assistance programme, discounted gym memberships, on-site fitness classes, and salary sacrifice schemes.
Unfortunately, there are currently no opportunities in theatre or intensive care teams for newly qualified nurses.
