Free dementia festival event to be held at Royal Derby Hospital in October 2024
On Monday 28 October colleagues and members of the public are invited to drop-in to the free dementia festival event taking place at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) DE22 3NE, between 9am and 2pm.
The event will be held in the Lecture Theatre, located in the Education Centre on level two near the staff library at RDH and will be a great opportunity to understand how to care for loved ones or patients with dementia, especially important coming up to the festive season, and see first-hand the support we have in place both in the trust and the wider community.
There'll be the chance to identify how to make appropriate onward referrals, have an awareness of the services available; with the opportunity of having any questions or queries answered, and recognise what provisions are in place for our patients during both hospital stays and aftercare within the community.
With 16 service providers from across Derbyshire being in attendance on the day of the event along with our University Hospitals Derby and Burton networks (full list shown below) it is a great opportunity to widen your knowledge on dementia whilst browsing a variety of stalls showcasing great gifts, wonderful food, prizes and freebies.
