For the next few weeks, a variety of members of #TeamUHDB working on the frontline of healthcare will be delivering a series of messages and advice on which services can help you this winter. They will also be telling you about you can help us by being prepared for winter.

Chris Ayre, Healthcare Assistant at Royal Derby Hospital, says that it is vital to continue to follow the Hands, Face, Space guidance to limit the spread of Covid-19 in our communities. It is also important to get your flu jab as early as you can this year to protect your family, friends and colleagues. It is also good preparation for the potential arrival of a Covid-19 vaccine.

He said: “Good hand hygiene along with wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing is crucial to limit the spread of Covid-19 and reduce pressure on our hospitals. You should also get your flu jab as soon as you can.”
