Join our community conversation and have your say on improvements to our maternity services

Maternity event

We are hosting a community conversation with women, birthing people, partners and supporters who have recently accessed our maternity services and we want to hear from you.

On Wednesday 10 July, 10am - 2pm, members of the UHDB maternity team will be at the Pirelli Stadium, Burton on Trent, having a conversation with our communities about improvements we are making to our maternity services. If you have accessed UHDB maternity services or neonatal services over the last two years we invite you to join the conversation and share your ideas and experiences.

The day is designed to be informal and will be an open, welcoming space for you to share your experiences, ideas and suggestions about how we can continue to improve our maternity services.

Children and babies are welcome and a buffet lunch is provided which will be appropriate for adults and children.

The session will begin with an introduction from members of the maternity team and throughout the day you will also have the option to take part in some focused conversations to share your views on some key areas which include induction and informed consent.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully so please let us know when you book, if you have any special requirements.

Our specialist Patient Experience team will also be on hand to listen to you in a confidential space if you would like to share your feedback privately.

  • The event is baby friendly and attendees are welcome to bring children
  • Free lunch is provided
  • Pushchair parking is available
  • Feeding friendly and bottle making facilities
