SRP car park closed due to swab tests
From today, all staff and visitors to Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital will only be able to use Car Park 2, outside the hospital.
This is the second car park on the left as you drive towards the hospital.
It is estimated that Car Park 1 (the first car park on the left as you drive towards the hospital) will now be unavailable for the next four weeks.
During this time, the Car Park 1 area, which is situated next to the George Bryant Centre, will be used to undergo Covid-19 swab tests for the area.
Testing had originally been planned to take place at the Snow Dome in Tamworth but has now been relocated, following the reopening of the Snow Dome.
The Mobile Testing Units have been moving to different locations across the county on a rolling programme since the beginning of June.
