Monday, 5 October marks the beginning of National Libraries Week and is a great opportunity to recognise the power of reading. The Library & Knowledge Service assists our Team UHDB staff by offering a range of resources and services to support all roles.

This years’ Libraries Week is all about reading, with a focus on boosting your wellbeing. If you need to unwind and relax, why not take a visit to our libraries at Burton and Derby to investigate the Fiction and Health and Wellbeing collections, or explore them online.

Karen Johnston, Deputy Library & Knowledge Service Manager, said, “We’d love for more Team UHDB staff to come and visit us at our libraries or check us out online. We can provide you with invaluable support, not just for finding evidence for your work, your professional development or research, but for your wellbeing. Our Fiction and Health and Wellbeing collections can give you the time-out and information you need during these uncertain times.”

teamsDuring the current times, the libraries are open 5 days a week, and are accessible between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) at Derby and between 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 4pm on a Friday at Burton. Anyone working at UHDB is eligible for a library membership. Find out more here.
