We are delighted that three UHDB apprentices have won in their respective categories at the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 with four of our apprentices, and our organisation as a whole, being recognised as finalists for the awards.
Naomi Kinlock, Adam Allton, and Harriet Sowter have each emerged as winners in their respective categories, underscoring the incredible contribution apprentices make to our organisation.
Naomi Kinlock, from our administration team, was honoured with the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year award. Naomi's dedication, professionalism, and outstanding growth in her role have earned her this well-deserved recognition, a testament to her hard work and commitment to developing new skills.
Adam Allton, whose role focuses on patient care and public health, won the Health and Public Service Apprentice of the Year award. Adam has consistently demonstrated an exemplary work ethic and passion for improving patient experiences, making a real impact on the community and in the services we provide.
Harriet Sowter, a key member of our clinical support team, secured the Higher Apprentice of the Year award. Harriet has shown remarkable leadership and initiative in her work, quickly becoming a vital asset to her department and setting a standard for apprentices across the Trust.
Our apprentices continue to play an integral role in delivering high-quality care to our patients while simultaneously developing their skills to shape the future of our workforce. As an organisation, UHDB remains deeply committed to fostering the talents of individuals through our apprenticeship programme. Apprentices are the lifeblood of our future workforce, bringing fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and innovation to the table. Their dedication helps ensure the Trust continues to meet the needs of patients and the wider community, both now and in the years to come.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Naomi, Adam, and Harriet on their incredible achievements and look forward to watching them continue to grow and develop.
