Wellbeing Team announced as winners of Best Wellbeing and Staff Experience Engagement Initiative
We are pleased to announce that our UHDB Wellbeing Team were announced as the winner for Best Wellbeing and Staff Experience Engagement Initiative at the Nursing Times Workforce and Summit Awards.
The team have gone above and beyond throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and put our colleagues’ wellbeing at the forefront of our agenda. The dedicated team support colleagues’ health and wellbeing concerns, provides wellbeing activities (both virtual and face to face) and have a comprehensive package of support to ensure that no matter what, our colleagues know where to turn when they need help.
James Buckley, Head of Wellbeing at UHDB said, “I am absolutely delighted that the team have been recognised in a year when supporting our people has never been more important – there’s so much more we have to give, but for now, we’ll celebrate how far we have come.”
Steph Thompson, Health and Wellbeing Advisor at UHDB said: “We’re over the moon to have won the Best Wellbeing & Staff Engagement initiative. We put our heart and soul into these projects we provide for Team UHDB and we LOVE what we do.”
Steven Weeks, policy manager at NHS Employers and part of the judging panel said: "I was very impressed by the high-calibre of entries this year. University Hospitals Derby and Burton was the winner for the trust's efforts in providing support on a virtual and in-person basis to staff, the effective and innovative communication the trust used to bring concepts to life, along with the range of partners in business, the community and the local authority it worked with."
