Robert Flatley Governor

Having served as a councillor for Ilkeston East since 2017, I am very passionate about supporting the local and wider community. I serve as a Trustee on several Derbyshire based charities, and I am also a governor for two local schools. I have also previously served as Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire.

A key part of these roles was to manage and scrutinise key decision-makers in large public sector organisations and ensure that they are able to best deliver for the public they serve. 

As the son of an NHS nurse, I have a strong desire to ensure that people receive the best healthcare and treatment, by putting these skills to use while serving on the Trust’s Council of Governors.

I am looking forward to ensuring that the services provided to those who need it are the best they can be.
