Accessibility and access to services
We know everyone’s accessibility needs are different, which is why detailed, accurate information is so important.
We have worked with AccessAble, to produce detailed Access Guides for all our hospital sites at UHDB, which have been checked by trained surveyors.
The AccessAble Guides are full of facts, figures and photographs to help patients, visitors and staff plan their journeys to and around our hospitals. We have covered everything from parking facilities and hearing loops, to walking distances and accessible toilets.
For Access Guides for all of our hospital sites at UHDB, please visit the AccessAble website >.
The guides are also available through the AccessAble App. The app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play, giving you accessibility information at your fingertips during your visit to our hospitals.
Access to our services
We are committed to providing access to services and treatments for patients referred to us.
Our Patient Access policy > has been produced with local health communities, and explains how we manage access to our services and treatments. It also ensures you, as a patient, are aware of your rights and responsibilities.
