Three colleagues from University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) have been shortlisted alongside the Trust at the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards 2025.
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton's (UHDB) first cohort of Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) apprentices are celebrating after qualifying from their three-year course with flying colours and securing their dream jobs at the Trust.
The apprenticeship scheme led by the Learning and Development Team, was rated 'Good' across four key themes, following an inspection by Ofsted. The themes include quality of education, personal development, behaviours and attitudes, leadership and management.
Amy Millar, a former sixth-form student at Abbot Beyne School, has spoken of her pride as she recently qualified as a Band three Healthcare assistant at Queen's Hospital Burton (QHB) through University Hospitals of Derby and Burton's (UHDB) apprenticeship scheme.
