Chaplaincy
Our Chaplaincy team provides spiritual, religious and pastoral support for all patients, families and staff in our hospitals. This service is open to people of all faiths and none.
You do not have to be religious to ask for help from a chaplain. Our team are here to help you whatever your background or belief are during your time in hospital. We can support you whether your need is faith specific or not, we offer someone who has time to listen, or help you understand and make sense of what is happening to you.
We understand that being admitted to hospital can be a disorientating and unsettling experience for both patients and families.
- Chaplains provide a non-judgemental listening ear and pastoral support.
- We offer a safe space for people to talk about what is on their mind.
- We care for everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or culture.
- We can provide religious support and ritual to people of faith (such as bedside Holy Communion), but we will not mention God unless you talk about God first. We just want to support you.
If wish to see a chaplain, please ask ward staff to make a referral to us or contact us directly.
