Our Division of Surgery is one of the largest providers of surgical care in England. 

We deliver surgery across 54 operating theatres on four sites, and outpatient services across nine different sites over a 40-mile catchment, between Tamworth and Ilkeston. 

Our state-of-the-art Hybrid Imaging Theatre has innovative new equipment, and a purpose-built facility for our Surgery team to provide complex surgery treatment to our patients. UHDB is renowned for its hand injuries treatment centre, the Pulvertaft Hand Unit, often taking referrals for national and international patients.
