Changing base hospital

The Trainee’s base hospital is set as the first Trust they began the Radiology Specialty Training programme as an ST1 (or first hospital as a Radiology ST if joining the East Midlands programme later than an ST1).

The Trainee’s base hospital was used to calculate excess mileage claims until Jan 2019 when HEE EM introduced an interim Relocation and Expenses policy which can be found on the HEE EM website. This allowed excess travel to be calculated from the Trainee’s home address to their place of work.
