Hospital Major Incident Management and Medical Support (HMIMMS)
The course aims to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills required to effectively plan for potential major incidents; manage at all levels during a major incident; understand how and when to implement the Major Incident Policy.

Target group
Candidates should be anyone who is likely to be involved in the management of a major incident within their hospital.

Duration
The HMIMMS course is run over two consecutive days.
Assessment
Candidates are subject to continual assessment throughout the course. The course is mainly delivered as a series of lectures, interactive discussion groups (tabletop exercises) and workshops.
