Key Skills in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
This course is for ST3 + Upper GI, Colorectal and Urology trainees.
Previous attendance of a Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery Course is desirable. A recommendation from your clinical supervisor is required at the time of booking.
This 2 day course has been developed to provide a combination of practical laparoscopic sessions and interactive live operating. It is aimed at the surgical trainee who has experience of laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendicectomy but wants to develop more advanced dissection, stapling and suturing skills used in laparoscopic upper GI, colorectal and urological procedures.
The course will comprise of lectures and practical sessions covering laparoscopic suturing and knot tying, mesenteric dissection, haemostasis, fundoplication, stapled anastomosis, live operating of fundoplication, PUJ obstruction, gastric bypass, colonic resection.

Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery
This course is for CT general surgery trainees.
This two day course will provide surgeons with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical experience of basic level laparoscopic sugery. The course will take you from a complete beginner in laparoscopic surgery to someone who is able to suture and tie knots laparoscopically as well as perform some of the key procedures in laparoscopic surgery by the end of the course.

When a form has been submitted we will keep a hard copy as required by the governing body of the course. Forms are kept for a maximum of 5 years in a secure environment.

Unless you have otherwise stipulated within your submitted registration, your details will be removed from our protected hospital computer network shortly after you have attended your training course.
